Linxon is a new joint venture company with long experience in the substation business, set up by SNC-Lavalin and ABB to deliver world-class turnkey electrical AC substations, from niche designs to mega projects.

To further increase the support to existing and future customers in the Middle East, a shared ownership has been put in place with Al Tayer Engineering LLC. The network, reach and expertise of Al Tayer Engineering in the region is an excellent fit for Linxon and will ensure the new venture is able to deliver world-class, customer-centric service.

“Al Tayer Engineering’s existing experience and network in the region make the partnership with Linxon Gulf a strong fit for our business. Our shared knowledge and drive to deliver state-of-the-art substations is testament to our ongoing passion for delivering quality engineering projects in the UAE,” commented Dr Tariq Humaid Al Tayer, Director of Al Tayer Engineering.

“Al Tayer has a very strong market presence and knowledge about the requirements of the transmission grid reliability in the region, so we are honored to join forces and share the ownership with this experienced and trusted partner” said Frédéric Tréfois, CEO of Linxon.

Linxon expertise encompasses project design, engineering, procurement, construction, management, commissioning and after-sales support for turnkey substations, a growing area in the Middle East.
